On the most recent edition of “Saturday Night Live,” R&B singer SZA made an appearance as a musical guest. She sang her previous hit, “Shirt,” before making a surprise debut of her brand-new song, “Blind.”

SZA also shocked fans by announcing that her much-awaited sophomore album, S.O.S., will be released on Friday, December 9. Her first album Ctrl, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, will be followed by S.O.S. SZA announcing the album’s title and describing her attitude toward it as less “carefree” in the Billboard cover story from last month.

The Grammy Award winner revealed the artwork for S.O.S. a few days ago, showing her dangling perilously at the end of a diving board over water.
