Singer-songwriter Mashonda has released her newest EP, “Note to Self,” through Beatroot-distributed Tifrere Music. The EP’s five songs, including the single “Complicated” for which she just today also debuted the music video, are a musical compilation of self-reflection.

Mashonda’s experiences learned while managing romantic relationships over the last five years are shared in “Note To Self.” Mashonda provides affirming interludes to go along with the music’s calming, therapeutic effect. Mashonda and The Millennials collaborated on the EP’s co-writing and co-production. She continues:

“This project is a return to my first love, music, on my terms. Note to Self is a diary that explores the navigation of love and pain and the transformation that comes with that journey. Every word of this EP is inspired by my personal experiences through the human emotions that come with love.”

Mashonda made her producing and creative directing debuts with the “Complicated” music video, which was filmed in New York. “Complicated” comes after “Forbidden Fruit” and “Positive Distraction,” the first two singles from “Note to Self.”
