Fans of music, rejoice! One of the largest festivals of 2023 will feature a collaboration between some of the best R&B and hip-hop artists. Ashanti, Ja Rule, and Fabolous will perform as the festival’s headliners on Saturday, May 27 at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California.
The festival will also feature performances by some of the top early 2000s performers, including Mya, Chingy, Pleasure P, Nivea, Ruff Endz, Marques Houston, 702, Lil Flip, and others. Friends are obviously thrilled about the nostalgic occasion.
The announcement of the festival follows Ashanti’s announcement that her new single, “Falling For You,” will be released on Friday, October 28.
The Grammy Award winner spoke about her next track and how she stays current with music despite the industry’s constantly shifting trends back in July.
“I think the cool part is keeping young people around me that are in the know. My sister’s younger than me, she has a crew of friends. I have cousins, I have lots of different family members from all walks of life. I work with a team of people and it’s really about making sure you are up to date and current with what’s going on.”
Ja Rule is currently booked for sold-out performances, like his recent appearance at the Resorts World Bimini in the Bahamas. On Thursday, October 27th at 9am EST, tickets for the “I Love R&B” festival go on sale in advance.
