It feels like celebrities from around the world are finally returning to Aotearoa now that borders are fully open after two years of limitations brought on by the pandemic. Due to intense demand, Houston-based songwriter, performer, and producer Casey Luong’s hip hop, R&B, soul-pop outfit keshi recently moved its Auckland headline performance to Spark Arena.

The only local headline show for keshi in 2022 is actually the first date of a recently announced absolutely massive international tour, more than sixty of which are listed over on keshi’s website, celebrating the release of his debut album GABRIEL. The artist has amassed more than 3.5 billion listens through self-produced streaming hits like 2021’s “beside you,” “like I need you,” and “drunk,” which is from 2020’s always EP.
