Two of the tracks on Taylor Swift’s next album were co-written by Zoe Kravitz. The 32-year-old star’s 10th studio album, “Midnights,” which will be released on Friday, includes the songs “Karma” and “Lavender Haze,” which were written by the 33-year-old singer and actress who fronts the R & B duet LOLAWOLF with Jimmy Giannopoulos (21.10.22).
Together with her long-term partner Jack Antonoff and Lana Del Rey for the song “Snow on the Beach,” Taylor co-wrote 11 of the album’s 13 songs. The lone writer of the song “Vigilante S***” is the “Love Story” hitmaker.
Taylor appeared to confirm Jack’s involvement with her forthcoming album last month. She and Jack, with whom she has collaborated on her most recent five albums, including the re-recorded versions of “Fearless” and “Red,” were shown playing the piano together in a behind-the-scenes film about the album’s recording.
The “Blank Space” hitmaker previously said that the record would have numerous separate vinyl versions and that they will all combine to form a clock face. As previously stated by Taylor, the album chronicles the tale of 13 restless nights.
In addition to a photo of herself sitting with her hands behind her head In August, Taylor said on Instagram: “We are crying and in turmoil as we lay awake in love and terror. We sip till the walls start speaking as we glare at them.
“We twist in our self-made cages and pray that we aren’t – right this minute – about to make some fateful life-altering mistake.
This is a collection of late-night songs that takes the listener on a trip through terrifying nightmares and delightful dreams. We pace the floors while battling our demons.
“For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching – hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve … we’ll meet ourselves.
“Midnights’, the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life, will be out October 21. Meet me at midnight.”
