This month, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) presented Beyoncé with her 70th new award. The 28-time Grammy Award-winning singer’s song “Break My Soul,” which is on her eighth number-one album Renaissance, has received a gold certification. The-Dream and Tricky Stewart co-wrote and co-produced the house song, which has sold more than 500,000 equivalent units.
It’s Beyoncé’s first RIAA certification after earning more than 60 earlier this month, including two for the songs “Halo” and “Singles Ladies (Put a Ring On It),” all of which were taken from her Grammy-winning album I Am… Sasha Fierce. Both tracks were the best-selling singles of her lead role career and were certified 9x multi-platinum.
