Over the years, the legendary performer has been known for providing the globe with female empowerment songs. With “Woman Like Me,” she has released yet another female anthem.

After exploring the dance scene on a previous album, Chaka Khan returns to R&B for “Woman Like Me.” The main notion of the powerful track hints at an earlier hit, “I’m Every Woman,” which she made famous, but with a harder edge.

The tune is released through the SRG-ILS Group/UMG label imprint. Gregg Pagani, Francesca Richard, and Jeffrey Anderson wrote “Woman Like Me,” which was produced by Gregg Pagani. 

Concerning her collaboration with the label, Chaka mentions:

“I am very proud to be with The SRG/ILS Group, a company that is run by a real musician who understands the needs of artists that have been overlooked for years.”
