On Sunday evening, Victoria Monét made her BET Awards debut.
At the BET Awards pre-show, the singer-songwriter, dressed in a stunning brown ensemble, performed her track “Coastin’.”
On the eve of her performance, Monét shared her excitement on social media. Monét tweeted, “Y’all dreams come true!! So excited to be performing at the @BETAwards pre show tomorrow! AHHH😍🤎 tune in ✨.” She added, “This will be my first time going to the @BETAwards and my first award show performance ever 🥺 thank you God.”

On August 5, 2021, “Coastin'” was released. It was her second single that year, following “F.U.C.K.”
Monét has been working on Jaguar II, the follow-up to her critically acclaimed EP Jaguar, which is set to be published in August 2020. Jaguar featured Khalid and SG Lewis on the tracks “Ass Like That,” “Moment,” “Dive,” and “Experience.”
She recently posted an update on Jaguar II on Twitter.
“Hii! Just wanted to say thank you for your patience with JAGUAR II. If you know me you know it isn’t without special reason that it isn’t in your ears already & i’m working hard to get it to you the best way!!! 🥰 I gotta say though, i think its better than part I 😌 respectfully,” Monét tweeted.

Monét will play at Jay-Z’s Made In America Festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in September. Other artists on the lineup include Jazmine Sullivan, Snoh Aalegra, Tyler, the Creator, and more.
