It’s Ne-Yo time. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter has announced that his eighth studio album, Self Explanatory, will be released on July 15th through Motown Records.
The 13-track LP will comprise Ne-previously Yo’s released singles “U 2 Luv” with Jeremih, “Stay Down” with BLEU (formerly known as Yung Bleu), “Don’t Love Me,” “What If,” and his most recent single “You Got The Body.” His single with Jeremih peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Songs chart.
In addition to the previously named guests, Zae France and Trippie Redd will appear on Self Explanatory.
Self Explanatory is Ne-follow-up Yo’s to his 2018 album Good Man. PartyNextDoor, Eric Bellinger, Candice Boyd, Sam Hook, and others contributed to the record. The title tune topped the Billboard Adult R&B Songs list.
On June 18, 2022, Ne-Yo will headline the AFRAM Festival in Baltimore, Maryland. The O’Jays, El DeBarge, Rotimi, Inayah, and others will all play during the two-day festival. Ne-Yo will perform at DJ D-Club Nice’s Quarantine concert in Los Angeles, California on June 25.
