Rising R&B artist bLAck pARty returns with his new track “Hotline,” his first release of the year, via Childish Gambino’s label Wolf + Rothstein and RCA Records.
Over a breezy production helmed by Lido, bLAck pARty tells his love interest that he would always have time to communicate with them on the phone (“Call me anytime, any day”). However, with lyrics like “I know you seen me calling, pick up for me now,” it doesn’t appear that sentiment is shared.
Of his new single, bLAck pARty says, “‘Hotline’ is one of those rare records that came out of a producer and an artist meeting for the first time. Lido and I were experimenting and getting to know each other and ended up creating something that we both loved on the first day.”
“Hotline” arrives with a trippy video directed by Dylan McGale, who also directed bLAck pARty’s visuals for “Dancing” and “No Complaints.”
“Hotline” will appear on bLAck pARty’s upcoming album, which will follow his 2019 project, Endless Summer.
