The Batman sequel has officially begun development at Warner Bros. Nothing is known about the plot or cast at this time, other than Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as the main superhero, and Matt Reeves will helm the film once more. Many actors and characters from the previous film are likely to return, but Pattinson was the only one who was formally acknowledged at CinemaCon.

There has been a lot of conjecture online in the previous two months about the villain (or villains) that would appear in the sequel.

The Batman 2 does not yet have a release date, although it is unlikely to happen until 2024.
