After releasing “Slow Motion”, Jamaican-English artist Amaria BB is back with another jaw-dropping song “Cheaters”.
“Cheaters” mixes elements of R&B and dancehall. This is nothing new for the Hackney based artist as we’ve seen her fuse different styles in her previous hits as well. The song is an amalgamation of emotionally raw lyricism and smoothly dropping beats that goes to the listener’s heart directly.
Once again, Amaria proves she’s one of the names to keep an eye on in 2022. The artist is coming into her own in a big way as she prepares to release her debut EP “What’s Done In The Dark”.
Born in Jamaica, Amaria moved to London at a young age. After discovering her voice at the age of 8, she started constantly performing in front of her family and friends. Amaria was highly influenced by Nina Simone, Lauryn Hill, Etta James, Jagged Edge. She was exposed to different genres of music while growing up like jazz, groove, R&B, Reggae, dancehall, and funky house. Today, different elements of all these styles are reflected in Amaria’s music.
