“Man On The Moon III: The Chosen” is Cudi’s seventh studio album and it was released almost a year ago. However, Cudder released the album on vinyl earlier this month. Of course, fans of the greatly loved rapper rushed to grab their copies. HipHopDX reported that lately 41,500 vinyls were sold.
These numbers pushed “MOTMIII” to #4 on the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart. Adele’s “30” still remains the #1, followed by Taylor Swift’s “Red”.
Moreover, Cudi’s album broke the vinyl sales week record for a male artist and a rap album.
When the news broke out, Cudi was in disbelief. He tweeted: “Holy shit whats happening”. After that he posted on Instagram, thanking his fans and giving them the credit for making this happen.
