Is it even Christmas without Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”?
No matter how many times you heard the song today, this week, the past month, or the past couple of decades, we have to admit that “All I Want For Christmas Is You” has become an essential part of Christmas traditions and festivities.
Just recently, the song officially surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify. “All I Want For Christmas Is You” was released on October 29, 1994 as the lead single from Carey’s 1994 ‘Merry Christmas’ album. The song was written and produced by Mariah Carey herself and Walter Afanasieff.
The 27 years old song only gained popularity over the years as it resurfaces every year around the holiday season. For that same reason, Mariah Carey was named as “Queen Of Christmas”.
On the other hand, the official music video has over 718 million views on YouTube. Just a couple of days before Christmas, the song took the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 song chart.
