On Sunday December 19, Kennedy King College in Englewood had a donation drive. And this year’s Santa was no other than Kanye. Ye donated 4,000 toys that were distributed to the kids at this special event called ‘Toys For Englewood’.
Although, Kanye was not there physically to hand the toys himself, his generosity was highly applauded by the organizers of the event. Kanye West was raised in Chicago and the rapper’s presence is often felt in the neighborhoods and communities through his acts.
Charitable acts are nothing new from the rapper. During Thanksgiving, Ye had donated more than 1,000 meals to the homeless in Skid Row, LA. The rapper has been involved in addressing the issue of homelessness in LA. Moreover, he met up with the CEO of Los Angeles Mission, a non-profit organization that tackles homelessness, and both discussed measures that can be taken to help them and serve their needs.
