The 2021 edition of the Soul Train Awards was aired Sunday night. The pre-taped ceremony was presented by BET and it featured performances by Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, Summer Walker, Ari Lennox, Ashanti and more.
The Soul Train music Awards started first back in 1987 and its aim is to honor the best in African-American culture music and entertainment.
This year, it was Jazmine Sullivan’s time to shine. Sullivan won the award for Best R&B/ Soul Female Artist and Album Of The Year for Heaux Tales. On the other hand, “Leave the Door Open” by Bruno Mars, Anderson. Paak(Silk Sonic) grabbed multiple awards as well.
