Europe’s biggest Jazz festival, “Love Supreme Jazz Festival”, is set to return after a break that lasted two years due to the pandemic. The festival is set to take place in Glynde Place from July 1 till July 3, 2022.
The festival announced Erykah Badu as the first headliner of the show. The neo-soul star will be celebrating her debut album’s 25th anniversary. ‘Baduizm’ was released in 1997, and it has sold over 2.8 million copies in the United States since. Moreover, the album was certified three times platinum. In 1998, the album won the Grammy award for the Best R&B Album. Same year, Badu also one the Grammy award for Best Female R&B Performance for her hit song “On & On”.
Badu is known for being one of the pioneers of neo soul. And one thing is for sure, she remains a force to reckon with.
